Cho trẻ ăn đúng bữa mỗi ngày
Việc ăn uống đúng bữa, đúng cách là điều rất cần thiết. Mỗi ngày, bé thường ăn 5-6 bữa gồm 3 bữa chính và các bữa phụ. Bữa chính là các đồ ăn dinh dưỡng như cơm, cháo, thịt, cá… Bữa phụ là sữa, hoa quả, bánh dinh dưỡng.
Các bữa nên được cố định để cơ thể trẻ được quen và thích nghi dễ dàng. Từ đó việc tiêu hóa ổn định hơn. Không cho trẻ ăn bữa phụ quá gần hay sát bữa chính, làm trẻ bị no, không muốn ăn và làm khung ăn uống mỗi ngày bị lệch lạc.
Cho trẻ ăn thức ăn đúng với độ tuổi
Việc cho trẻ ăn đúng quy định với độ tuổi giúp bé phát triển tốt hơn. Với trẻ sơ sinh, bú sữa mẹ là chính, ngoài ra có thêm sữa công thức. Trẻ từ 4 tháng tuổi, nên cho trẻ bắt đầu ăn dặm, ăn từ loãng đến đặc, kết hợp từ từ các loại thực phẩm vào bữa ăn.
Cho trẻ ăn uống đúng cách, thoải mái
Khi cho bé ăn, nên tạo niềm vui, sự thoải mái. Cha mẹ hãy tôn trọng khẩu vị của con, có thể cho con lựa chọn thức ăn.
Không nên ép trẻ ăn các đồ ăn không thích khiến trẻ sợ hãi mỗi khi đến bữa ăn. Khi cho bé ăn, không nên dọa nạt hay tạo áp lực, khiến trẻ ăn không được ngon, cản trở việc tiêu hóa, hấp thu.
Đặc biệt, cha mẹ nên cho con ăn uống cùng bữa ăn với các thành viên trong gia đình. Điều này giúp trẻ có cảm giác được gần gũi hơn, cảm nhận được bữa cơm trong gia đình cũng như tạo thói quen, thấy mọi người ăn bé cũng ăn.
Bổ sung đủ các nhóm dinh dưỡng
Có 4 nhóm dinh dưỡng chính gồm tinh bột, dầu và chất béo, đạm, vitamin và chất khoáng. Mẹ cần bổ sung cho bé ăn đầy đủ các dinh dưỡng từ thực phẩm mỗi ngày.
Nhiều phụ huynh có suy nghĩ rằng cho trẻ ăn dầu mỡ làm trẻ bị béo phì. Điều này có phần không đúng. Chất béo, dầu có vai trò khá quan trọng trong sự phát triển của trẻ nhỏ.
Chất béo có vai trò trong việc hình thành vỏ não, vỏ tế bào, tăng hấp thu các loại vitamin tan trong dầu như A, D, E, K… Mặt khác, chất béo còn cung cấp năng lượng giúp trẻ tăng cân đều hơn, tốt hơn, khỏe mạnh hơn.
Với những trẻ ở giai đoạn từ 6 tháng đến 1 tuổi, mỗi bữa ăn cần cung cấp đủ 5ml dầu ăn hoặc mỡ. Vì thế mỗi ngày bé cần đủ 15- 20ml dầu hoặc mỡ. Khi bé trên 1 tuổi, lượng dầu mỡ cần cung cấp cho 1 ngày là 30- 40 ml. Những bé thích món rau trộn có thể thêm chút dầu ăn để cung cấp thêm chất béo cho cơ thể.
Bổ sung đạm, trứng, sữa
Mẹ cần phối hợp đầy đủ các món ăn có chứa đạm như thịt, cá, trứng vào cơm hoặc cháo. Nên có nhiều cách chế biến khác nhau để con yêu không cảm thấy bị chán.
Bổ sung đủ tinh bột trong mỗi bữa ăn
Tinh bột khá cần thiết cho trẻ chậm tăng cân. Tinh bột cung cấp nhiều năng lượng cho cơ thể. Nếu bé không thích ăn cơm mẹ có thể thay bằng cháo, bột gạo, phở, bún. Ngoài các sản phẩm từ gạo, 1 củ khoai hay bắp ngô cũng là gợi ý để bổ sung tinh bột cho bữa ăn của bé.
Bổ sung rau củ quả
Rau củ quả có chứa nhiều vitamin, chất khoáng, chất xơ cần thiết cho trẻ, đặc biệt trẻ chậm tăng cân. Thiết chất xơ sẽ làm giảm việc tiêu hóa, gây táo bón làm cho trẻ khó tiêu, từ đó dẫn đến việc chán ăn.
Các loại rau củ quả có màu đỏ, vàng, cam còn cung cấp vitamin A tốt cho mắt. Rau xanh đậm, các loại đậu bổ sung thêm các yếu tố vi lượng tăng chuyển hóa, giúp bé mau lớn, tăng cân, phát triển chiều cao.
